The CFO Redefining Ride Dynamics and the Off-Road Industry
As Chief Financial Officer of Fox Factory Holding Corp. (FOX), an American company best known for their Fox Racing Shox brand of off-road racing suspension components, Scott Humphrey leads a thriving finance team. Scott joined Fox Factory in June of 2020 as Senior Vice-President of Finance, and was quickly promoted to Chief Financial Officer just 2 months later.
Per Scott’s CEO, Mike Dennison, “Scott is a major part of Fox Factory’s success and has built an amazing team. He was dropped in the middle of an acquisition during the Pandemic and displayed remarkable resiliency by doubling revenue between 2020 to 2022 ($800M - $1.6B)”. As if that’s not impressive enough, he’s also overseen multiple acquisitions plus successfully relocated over 1,200 jobs to the Atlanta area. Since Fox Factory moved to Georgia, they've been contributing to the local community through a number of corporate and employee led initiatives.
Prior to FOX, he most recently was the interim Chief Financial Officer of Hibbett Sports, Inc. (NASDAQ: HIBB) and he served as Chief Financial Officer of Ciner Resources LP (NYSE: CINR). Scott has over 20 years of experience in finance and operations management and provides the Company with a depth of experience in equity and debt financing, budgeting and forecasting, and execution of mergers and acquisitions. Earlier in his career, he managed all treasury activities at Schweitzer-Mauduit International, Inc. (NYSE: SWM) and prior to that at Hyco International, Inc.
His strong people skills paired with a Boston College education and MBA from Georgetown, helped Scott quickly rise to the top. Scott cares deeply about building a strong company culture and the success of Fox Factory. In fact, Scott was selected by his peers as one of 3 finalists for Atlanta’s 2022 Preeminent CFO of the Year award, reflecting Glen Jackson’s 7 Pillars for achieving preeminence (trust, relationship building, communication, assessment, servant leadership, fanatical focus, and remarkable resiliency. He was also a finalist in the Atlanta Business Chronicle 2022 CFO of the Year Awards.
