Atlanta's 2023 Preeminent CFO of the Year is Ashley Crandall

The CFO Forum, Atlanta's premier professional organization for financial leaders, presented its sixth annual Preeminence Award to Ashley Crandall, Americas CFO for Capgemini (NASDAQ: CGEMY), at its 2023 fourth quarter event. The award recognizes Atlanta's most outstanding CFO for 2023. The CFO Forum was generously hosted by Cisco at their Atlanta Collaboration Center on December 13, 2023. Scott Herren, Cisco’s EVP and CFO and Leslie Kurtz, Jackson Healthcare CFO, discussed a CFO’s Role in Navigating Change prior to the Preeminence Award Presentation.

Crandall was among several candidates who earned nominations from their peers.

“I was honored to be recognized and especially touched that it was from CFO peers. I’m thankful to everyone that has supported me along the way (personally and professionally). I truly love what I do and whom I work with everyday. Getting recognized for what I love to do, makes this award even more meaningful.”

Crandall joined Capgemini in March of 2022 and is responsible for the America’s financial performance and growth and is committed to driving excellence in finance processes and operations.

Crandall is known for her strong financial leadership and broad technology sector experience. She is recognized for thoughtful leadership, process simplification, increased productivity, and leading by example. Prior to joining Capgemini, she held leadership and regional or divisional CFO positions in the technology and technology consulting industries as well as industrial sectors at GE. She started her career journey in the US Army, where she learned early on the unique perspectives and value women can bring to work environments and organizations.

The Preeminence Award takes its name from a book by Glen Jackson, co-founder of Jackson Spalding, Georgia's largest independent marketing communications agency. "Preeminence: What It Means and How to Sustain It" articulates seven key characteristics that Jackson observes in successful organizations: trust, relationship building, marketing communications, assessment, the cultural torch of servant leadership, fanatical focus, and remarkable resiliency.

“We are honored to be able to give this award to Ashley,” says Chris White, co-founder of the CFO Forum and Vice Chairman of Savills. “When we envisioned this award, we created governance around the selection process, not usually seen in these types of awards, by forming a selection committee of CFOs. We utilized the seven pillars from Glen’s book to drive our decision. As evident in the interview process, Ashley truly represents all of the preeminent characteristics identified, and we are proud to have her as our 2023 winner.”

Other finalists for this year’s CFO Forum Preeminence Award were Josh Whipple, CFO of Global Payments, and Kate Jaspon, CFO of Inspire Brands.
