Annual CFO Forum Preeminence Award presented to Jill Robinson of the Atlanta Braves

The CFO Forum, Atlanta's premier professional organization for financial leaders, presented its fourth annual Preeminence Award to Jill Robinson, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for the Atlanta Braves, at its quarterly meeting on December 9, 2021. The award recognizes Atlanta's most outstanding CFO for 2021.

Robinson was among several candidates who earned nominations from their peers. “I am humbled and honored to receive this award,” said Jill. “This caps off an already amazing year with the Braves organization.” “ I am very appreciative of the teams I’ve worked with over the years and the support and guidance I’ve received from some important leaders I’ve been lucky enough to work with.” Robinson joined the Atlanta Braves in 2018.

In her role, Robinson oversees the Braves’ entire accounting and finance operation, leading a team of 25 finance and accounting professionals. Robinson also manages the Braves’ financial interests in The Battery Atlanta, the world-class mixed used real estate development located around Truist Park and serves as the Treasurer for the Atlanta Braves Foundation and the Henry Louis Aaron Fund.Prior to joining the Braves, Robinson worked for McKesson Corporation for 16 years in both San Francisco, Calif., and Atlanta, Ga., serving in a variety of roles for the Fortune 5 company. At the time of her departure, Robinson was the chief financial officer and senior vice president for McKesson Technology Solutions, a $3 billion healthcare technology company.

Sundeep Reedy, a former McKesson colleague now EVP & CAO at Salesforce, notes, "Jill is extremely transparent and gave her team members autonomy to make decisions Day 1. She is an excellent listener and always available. Her team building was top notch, and she is a phenomenal mentor for her direct reports and throughout her entire organization. Jill is even keeled whatever the challenge and brave enough to have the tough conversations with senior management."“After such an exciting season and a world series championship, we’re honored to present this award to Jill,” said Chris White, Co-Founder of the CFO Forum and Vice Chairman of Savills. “I had the chance to speak with Jill’s former and current colleagues and it’s obvious why she’s our 2021 winner.” “As evident by her peers, Jill truly is a team player and represents the seven preeminent characteristics outlined in Glen Jackson’s book.” “Congratulations to Jill, and her entire team at the Atlanta Braves.” “We are proud to have her as our 2021 winner."

The Preeminence Award takes its name from a book by Glen Jackson, co-founder of Jackson Spalding, Georgia's largest independent marketing communications agency. "Preeminence: What It Means and How to Sustain It" articulates seven key characteristics that Jackson observes in successful organizations: trust, relationship building, marketing communications, assessment, the cultural torch of servant leadership, fanatical focus, and remarkable resiliency.
